Frequently Asked Questions
Are these sticky notes safe to use in a child's room, playroom, or on school supplies?
Yes. Post-it Super Sticky Notes are paper notes with a water-based adhesive and contain no harsh chemicals of concern, making them suitable for use in kids' rooms, on lunchboxes, and on school folders.
Will the adhesive damage my child's bedroom wall, desk, or painted furniture when removed?
No. The water-based adhesive is repositionable and removes cleanly from most smooth surfaces, so kids can put up chore charts or reward notes without peeling paint or leaving residue.
Can younger kids use these notes without the paper tearing when they peel them off?
Yes. The paper is sturdy enough for small hands, and the adhesive lets kids lift and re-stick notes without ripping the sheet, which makes them easier for little ones to use.
Is the pastel palette engaging enough to use for a kids' chore chart or reward system?
Yes. The soft Wanderlust colors—Washed Denim, Fresh Mint, Orchid Frost, Pebble Gray, and Pink Salt—work well for color-coded chore charts, behavior rewards, and reading logs in kids' rooms and classrooms.
Are these notes safe to put on a child's lunchbox, water bottle, or school folder?
Yes. They stick well to typical school surfaces and remove cleanly, so you can label lunchboxes, folders, and cubbies without leaving sticky residue on kids' belongings.
Is this a good sticky note set for labeling a preschooler's cubby and supplies?
Yes. The 3x3 size is easy to write a name on, the pastel colors help kids spot their own items, and the adhesive removes cleanly from cubbies, backpacks, and lunch containers.
Can I use these notes to make a behavior chart for my child at home?
Yes. The 5 pads give you plenty of notes to build a color-coded behavior or chore chart on a bedroom door, refrigerator, or wall, and you can move notes around as the week progresses.
Will the notes stay on a textured kids' bedroom wall, or do I need a smooth surface?
They adhere best to smooth, clean surfaces like doors, mirrors, refrigerators, and finished walls. On heavily textured walls, the hold may be reduced compared to smooth surfaces.
How do these notes compare to sticker labels for labeling kids' school supplies?
Compared to permanent sticker labels, Super Sticky Notes are repositionable, so you can update a name or room number each school year without scraping off old labels, and they remove cleanly from lunchboxes and folders.
How does this compare to using painter's tape and markers for kids' chore charts?
Painter's tape can damage paint and requires markers, while Super Sticky Notes stick directly, accept pen or pencil, and remove cleanly, making them faster and safer for weekly chore and reward charts.
How do these compare to laminated chore cards for younger kids?
Laminated cards are reusable but take more setup and storage, while sticky notes are inexpensive, easy to swap, and let kids physically move a note when a chore is done—great for tactile learners.
I'm worried my child will peel a note off and accidentally eat the paper. Is the paper safe if that happens?
Post-it Notes are made from paper with a water-based adhesive and are non-toxic in normal use, but like any paper product, they are not intended to be eaten and should be kept out of reach of very young children.
Will the bright pastel colors fade quickly in a sunny playroom or near a window?
The colors hold up well in typical indoor lighting, but like most papers, prolonged direct sunlight can cause gradual fading over many weeks.
Are these notes too small for a young child to write their name on?
The 3x3 size gives enough room for a child's name or a short reminder, and a parent can pre-write names for pre-readers, making them practical for early elementary ages.
Can I use these notes on a child's bedroom door without ruining the paint when we redecorate?
Yes. The water-based adhesive is designed to remove cleanly from most interior painted surfaces, so you can post notes on a child's door and take them down later without damaging the finish.
Is this product appropriate for a classroom teacher who needs to label many student supplies?
Yes. With 5 pads and 70 sheets each, a teacher can color-code cubbies, folders, and supplies for a full classroom and still have plenty left for reminders, lesson flags, and parent notes.
How do I use these sticky notes so they stick well and remove cleanly?
Press the note firmly onto a clean, dry, smooth surface like a wall, window, monitor, or door for a few seconds. To remove, lift gently from one corner; the water-based adhesive should peel away without leaving residue on most surfaces.
How do I make my handwriting look neat on a 3x3 sticky note?
Use a fine-tip pen or marker, write one short thought per note, and consider using all-caps or a single bold word. A 3x3 note fits roughly 4–6 short lines of text comfortably.
Can I write on these notes with pencil, pen, and marker without smudging?
Yes. The paper works well with standard ballpoint pens, gel pens, fine markers, and pencils, and ink dries quickly enough to avoid smudging on the small surface.
Do these sticky notes work on textured walls or only smooth surfaces?
They perform best on smooth, clean surfaces like painted walls, glass, windows, whiteboards, doors, monitors, and appliances. On heavily textured or dusty walls, the hold will be reduced and you may need to press longer or refresh the note.
Will these notes stick to fabric, cork boards, or fabric bulletin boards?
They are designed for smooth, hard surfaces. On fabric bulletin boards and cork boards, the adhesive will hold but may not grip as firmly, and the textured surface can shorten how long the note stays in place.
What's in the box when I order this product?
You receive 5 pads of Post-it Super Sticky Notes in the 3x3 inch size, with 70 sheets per pad, in the Wanderlust Pastel colors: Washed Denim, Fresh Mint, Orchid Frost, Pebble Gray, and Pink Salt.
Are these sticky notes recyclable after I'm done using them?
Yes. The notes are made from 100% recycled paper and can be recycled with regular paper waste, and the outer packaging is curbside recyclable as well.
Are these notes safe to use in a home with pets and children?
Yes. The notes are made from paper with a water-based adhesive and do not contain harsh chemicals of concern, making them safe for typical home and classroom use around pets and children.
What's the difference between Super Sticky Notes and regular Post-it Notes?
Super Sticky Notes have 2X the sticking power of standard Post-it Notes, so they hold much better on vertical and challenging surfaces like walls, windows, monitors, and doors, while still removing cleanly thanks to the water-based adhesive.
How do I use the Wanderlust Pastel colors effectively for color-coding?
Assign each color a category—such as Pink Salt for personal, Fresh Mint for work tasks, Orchid Frost for creative ideas, Washed Denim for errands, and Pebble Gray for follow-ups—so you can scan a wall or planner and instantly see what type of note you're looking at.
