Frequently Asked Questions
How does the built-in aroma pad actually work with the 3-in-1 filter?
A few drops of essential oil go on the aroma pad inside the unit, and as air moves through the purifier, it picks up the scent and disperses it gently through the room without reducing filtration performance.
Can I control how strong the scent feels in my meditation space?
Yes. Because you control the number of drops on the aroma pad and the fan speed, you can dial scent intensity from a very subtle background note to a more pronounced room-filling aroma.
Will the activated carbon filter affect the way my essential oils smell?
The carbon layer is focused on neutralizing unwanted odors like smoke and cooking smells, so when you add a quality essential oil to the aroma pad, the intended scent remains the dominant fragrance.
How long does the scent typically last on the aroma pad?
Most users find that a few drops of essential oil on the aroma pad last for several hours of continuous use, and the pad can be refreshed anytime you want to change the scent.
Does the whisper-quiet operation protect the calming atmosphere of a yoga room?
Yes. At 25 dB with sleep mode, the purifier runs quieter than a whisper, so it does not interrupt guided meditation, soft music, or breathwork in a dedicated yoga or meditation space.
Is this a good air purifier for a small meditation or yoga room?
Yes. The 255 sq ft coverage handles most small home studios, while the aroma pad adds a sensory layer that enhances savasana, seated meditation, or restorative yoga practice.
Can I switch between scents without buying a new diffuser?
Yes. You can swap essential oils on the aroma pad as often as you like, switching from lavender at night to eucalyptus in the morning without needing any extra accessories.
Will adding oils to the aroma pad void the warranty?
No. The aroma pad is designed specifically for essential oils and is part of the intended use, so adding a few drops as directed will not affect your LEVOIT 2-year warranty coverage.
Is the scent strong enough for a larger open-plan living space?
The Core Mini-P is optimized for small rooms up to 255 sq ft, so the scent and filtration will feel most effective in bedrooms, offices, and small studios rather than expansive open areas.
Can I use this purifier as my main diffuser in a self-care routine?
For personal-room scenting, many users replace their standalone diffuser with the Core Mini-P because it adds genuine air filtration, quiet sleep mode, and a clean design in one device.
How does this compare to using a traditional essential oil diffuser?
A standard diffuser only adds moisture and scent, while the Core Mini-P also captures particles and odors with its 3-in-1 filter, giving you a calmer and cleaner aromatic environment.
Is this better than a candle for scent and ambiance during self-care?
For scent and relaxation, the aroma pad delivers fragrance without an open flame, soot, or added VOCs, which makes it a safer and cleaner choice for bedrooms and meditation spaces.
How does this compare to ultrasonic diffusers with lights?
Ultrasonic diffusers add moisture and visual effects but do not filter air, while the Core Mini-P combines AHAM VERIFIDE filtration with a simple, no-light aroma option for a calmer sensory experience.
Will the scent compete with my existing room spray or incense?
Because the aroma pad uses only a few drops at a time, it layers gently with other scenting products, and you can always reduce the drops to let room sprays or incense remain the dominant fragrance.
Do I need to clean the aroma pad between different oils?
It is a good practice to occasionally wipe or replace the pad when switching between very different scents, which helps prevent one fragrance from lingering into the next session.
Is the scent safe around children and pets in a wellness space?
The aroma pad is enclosed within the unit with no heat or flame, and because you can use very small amounts of oil, it is generally a gentler way to scent a shared wellness space than candles or sprays.
How do I set up the LEVOIT Core Mini-P for the first time?
Remove the purifier from the box, take the 3-in-1 filter out of its plastic wrap, reinstall it into the unit, snap the back panel in place, and plug it in. Once powered on, select your fan speed using the touch controls and the purifier is ready to run.
How often should I replace the 3-in-1 filter?
With typical residential use, the 3-in-1 filter should be replaced approximately every 6 to 8 months. The built-in filter indicator will remind you when it is time, and you can also follow the timeline in the user guide based on your usage and air quality.
Can I leave the purifier on 24/7?
Yes. The Core Mini-P is rated for continuous use, draws only 7W, and has sleep mode plus an auto-off display so it can run quietly in the background day and night without disruption.
Is the Core Mini-P compatible with essential oils?
Yes. The built-in aroma pad is designed to work with most essential oils. Apply a few drops directly to the aroma pad, never into the filter or water tank, and enjoy combined purification and scenting.
Does this purifier work in a 300 sq ft open-plan room?
The Core Mini-P is rated for rooms up to 255 sq ft, so it performs best in enclosed bedrooms, small offices, and dorm rooms. In larger or more open spaces, you may notice reduced performance and should consider a larger unit.
What is included in the box?
The package includes the LEVOIT Core Mini-P air purifier, one pre-installed 3-in-1 filter, and a user guide. Replacement filters are sold separately through LEVOIT and authorized retailers.
Is the purifier safe to use around children and pets?
Yes. The Core Mini-P has no exposed heating elements or open flames, uses low-voltage 7W AC power, and is AHAM VERIFIDE certified for safety, making it suitable for bedrooms, nurseries, and homes with pets when used as directed.
How long is the warranty, and what does it cover?
LEVOIT backs the Core Mini-P with a 2-year warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use. Warranty service is handled directly through LEVOIT customer support.
What is the difference between an air purifier and an air freshener?
An air freshener only masks odors by adding fragrance, while an air purifier like the Core Mini-P actively filters particles, allergens, and odors from the air using a 3-in-1 filter, which is verified by independent AHAM testing.
