Frequently Asked Questions

Will the design clash with a clean, neutral kitchen?

The tin uses a simple, restrained label with neutral tones that read as part of a calm counter rather than visual clutter. Most customers with minimalist kitchens leave it on the open shelf or in a small tray with their other everyday tools.

Is the sachet format actually less wasteful than loose leaf?

The sachets are pre-portioned so there is no leftover leaf, no mess on the counter, and no need for a separate infuser or filter. After steeping, the sachet is composted and the tin is refilled, which keeps the workflow to a single, simple step.

I do not want to deal with a tin infuser, strainer, or scale. Is this truly effortless?

Yes. You place one sachet in a mug, add 175°F water, wait 4 to 5 minutes, and remove the sachet. There is no measuring, no loose leaf, and no extra equipment to clean up, which is the point of the format.

How does the reusable tin fit into a less-is-more lifestyle?

The tin is durable enough to refill, repurpose for storage, or hand off to someone else once the 20 sachets are finished. It does not add disposable packaging to your kitchen the way a paperboard box does, which is why it fits a low-waste, intentional home.

Is the brewing process quiet and unobtrusive, or does it require a lot of steps?

Brewing is a single step: sachet, water, wait. The pearls unfurl quietly in the cup, and the room fills with jasmine without any of the click, steam, or noise of an electric kettle routine. It works well in a quiet reading nook or a shared workspace.

Can I keep the tin on an open shelf without it looking like clutter?

Yes. The tin is compact and visually quiet, so it sits easily on a single shelf next to a mug, a spoon, and a small plant. Customers with intentionally styled counters often leave it out as part of the look rather than storing it in a cabinet.

I only want one tea in my kitchen. Is this a good all-day option?

Yes. One sachet can be steeped in about a liter of water and re-steeped through the day without turning bitter, so a single tin supports an entire day of slow drinking. For a minimalist kitchen, that is one less product to stock.

Is the ingredient list short and clean?

The blend is a combination of hand-rolled green and white tea pearls infused with jasmine flowers, and it is certified Kosher and gluten-free. There are no added flavorings, which is part of why the jasmine reads as natural rather than artificial.

How does this compare to a single-origin green tea for a minimalist tea bar?

A single-origin green tea is more variable cup to cup and often requires careful measuring. The Dragon Pearl format trades that variability for a more repeatable, low-friction cup, which is a better fit for a less-is-more kitchen.

I do not want a product with extra plastic or samples inside the tin. Is the packaging clean?

The tin contains 20 individually wrapped sachets and nothing else, with no extra inserts, samples, or plastic trays. The minimal interior is part of why it reads as a calm, intentional product rather than an over-packaged one.

Is the brand itself aligned with a low-impact, intentional lifestyle?

Harney & Sons is a member of 1% for the Planet, which means a portion of revenue goes to environmental causes. For buyers who want their purchases to align with their values, that membership is a meaningful detail.

How does the freshness date work for a small, intentional kitchen?

The tin has a use-by date printed on the container, so you can stock it without guessing when it was packed. The sealed sachets keep the pearls fresh until you open them, which means you do not have to plan your usage around an open container.

I am worried the jasmine will compete with other scents in my home. Is the aroma subtle?

The jasmine is fragrant but balanced against the green and white tea base, so the scent fills a room with a single cup but does not overpower candles, food, or other elements. It is often described as natural rather than perfume-like, which is why it fits a calm space.

Is the 20-count tin the right size for someone who wants to keep their pantry simple?

Yes. Twenty sachets is enough to support weeks of daily use, and the reusable tin means you are not stacking paperboard boxes. For a minimalist kitchen, one tin is usually all you need on the shelf at a time.

How do I brew the jasmine pearls for the best flavor?

Heat fresh water to about 175°F, place one sachet in a mug, and steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the sachet and enjoy. For a lighter cup, shorten the steep time. For a liter of iced tea, use one sachet in cold or room-temperature water and refrigerate overnight.

Can I re-steep the same sachet through the day?

Yes. The hand-rolled pearls hold their flavor across multiple infusions, so you can re-add hot water to the same sachet several times without bitterness. Many customers keep a single sachet going for an entire afternoon of slow sipping.

What is the difference between the 175°F recommendation and the 160°F sometimes mentioned for white tea?

This blend is a combination of white and green tea pearls, and 175°F is the recommended temperature for the blend as a whole. Brewing at 160°F will produce a softer, less astringent cup if you prefer a more delicate flavor, but 175°F is the standard guidance for a balanced brew.

Is the tin dishwasher safe, or do I wash it by hand?

Hand washing is recommended. A quick rinse with warm water and a soft cloth is enough to keep the label and finish in good condition, and the tin will be ready to refill or repurpose for years.

Are the sachets individually wrapped for freshness?

Yes. The 20 sachets are individually wrapped inside the tin so each one stays sealed until you are ready to brew. This is what allows the tin to hold its aroma and flavor across the full use-by window printed on the container.

What is in the tin when it arrives?

Each tin contains 20 individually wrapped pyramid sachets of hand-rolled jasmine pearls. There are no extra inserts, samples, or accessories included, so what you see in the product description is exactly what ships.

Is this tea safe for people with common food allergies?

The blend is certified Kosher and gluten-free, and the ingredient list is limited to green and white tea pearls infused with jasmine flowers. For specific allergen questions beyond gluten, we recommend reviewing the printed label on the tin before consuming.

How long will a single tin last before it loses flavor?

Each tin is marked with a manufacture date and a use-by date, and the individually wrapped sachets keep the pearls fresh until you open them. As long as the tin is stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, the flavor will hold through the printed use-by window.

What is the difference between jasmine pearl tea and jasmine green tea?

Jasmine pearl tea is made by rolling the tea leaves into small pearls and infusing them with jasmine blossoms multiple times during processing, which locks the aroma into the leaf itself. Jasmine green tea is typically a flat or open leaf scented once with jasmine, which produces a lighter and often less consistent flavor.
